Psychosexual Assessment Certification


This program equips mental health professionals with the skills, knowledge, and tools necessary to conduct comprehensive sex offender assessments.

PREREQUISITE:

This certification program is open to mental health professionals who have earned a master’s degree or higher in a helping relationship field, such as psychology, counseling, social work, or psychiatry. Trainees must have a solid foundation in psychosexual assessment and report writing, as well as experience in clinical practice. A strong understanding of ethical considerations in mental health practice is also essential.

Target Audience For This Presentation: This training is designed for licensed mental health professionals, including psychologists, counselors, social workers, and other practitioners with a master's degree or above. It is particularly beneficial for those who are currently involved in or aspire to work in forensic settings, where the assessment of sex offenders is a key responsibility. The training is also ideal for professionals seeking to specialize in forensic psychology or those looking to enhance their skills in conducting complex, high-stakes assessments.

System requirements:

Course Completion and CE Information: To earn CE credit, participants must be on time, sign in and sign out, attend the entire course and complete a course evaluation. This is a 12 hour course. Partial credit is not permitted. Must be present the full 6 hours of both days to receive CE certificate. Certificates of completion will be emailed within 5 business days of course completion.

CE Statements: Summit BHC, provider #2057, is approved to offer social work continuing education by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program. Regulatory boards are the final authority on courses accepted for continuing education credit. ACE provider approval period: 07/31/2024 - 07/31/2025. Social workers completing this course receive 12 clinical continuing education credits.

Summit BHC has been approved by NBCC as an Approved Continuing Education Provider, ACEP No. 7161. Programs that do not qualify for NBCC credit are clearly identified. Summit BHC is solely responsible for all aspects of the programs.
